Going green on a purple-and-gold campus isn’t just a color combo—it’s a commitment! Mustang Dining is riding high with green cleaning as part of our mission to serve up nutritious, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious options while reducing our hoofprint on the planet
Sip Smarter
Use refill stations on campus for water and beverages instead of buying bottled drinks and skip unnecessary plastic accessories or switch to reusable alternatives.
Choose to Reuse
By using out green reuseable containers. Available in the Mustang Dining Hall for use. Just ask our cashier to get started! WNMU promotes “Choose to Reuse” as part of its sustainability program.
Green Cleaning
We use cleaning solutions that meet sustainability standards, reducing harmful chemicals in food service areas.

Working Toward Zero Waste
We proudly support sustainability efforts here on campus. Here are a few active initiatives. Keep checking in as we add more to our program!
Robust Recycling
We recycle cardboard, metal, paper, glass, and accepted plastic products, and we recycle uncommon items—such as batteries and printer cartridges—wherever possible.
Proactive Prevention
We use tracking and forecasting tools to proactively identify food waste trends in order to alter our preparation accordingly.
